This is a three issue punch-up with an alien bounty hunter that is really rather good. Having superior technology the alien usually has the upper hand making it an exciting read. Like all the best stories Dredd thinks his way to victory.

Dillon does some great work and uses large blocks of black and white to make a real visual impact as well as creating the archetypal Dredd chin.

It has been a while since the Big Meg faced a citywide threat. Here is a real treat.

This is an excellent story. It builds slowly and methodically ramping up the stakes and delivering twists and shocks with rapid and deliberate precision. The antagonist and the motivation is hidden right up until the final page when it launches an even more epic tale.

Prog 205 – Alone in a Crowd

This is a wonderful story that says so much about our society, both that of the 80’s and thirty years on. There are many variations on the saying “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Here we see that premise in action with citizens hoping others will be the victims of crime so that they may be spared. The rest of the story is bland action strip but this poignant message really resonates.
